This article has been making the rounds of the various parent’s groups, support groups and other social media outlets. It resonates. Literally.
And lots of times none of those excuses apply. But I can see why an OW has an excuse mentality. Also, I’m less interested in intentions than in the safety and learning *outcomes* of my child. If a teacher can’t deliver on that then she should own up and opt out of teaching the easy, well-behaved kids. Stream them so they each get the attention and the hard cases don’t drag down the rest. Some teachers do this just fine. If they can’t that’s on them.
