words i find heartbreakingly true
There was a quote which I saw circulating on my dash.
It had to do with love and the irony of it.
It went on to show how love can happen at the wrong time with the right person, or that it can happen with the wrong person at the right time, or that it will even occur after someone has left.
I found it interesting that we look to blame Love on some level.
How many times have you heard about star crossed lovers, or the more modern LDR, or the pains of unrequited love?
There are no rules when it comes to LOVE.
We make it ironic by the constraints we choose to place on it, instead of just accepting the beautiful thing that Love is.
It’s not a matter of loving the right person at the wrong time.
We should rejoice that we have the capability to Love at all.
And it’s not the wrong person when the time is right.
That wrong person was meant to be there, to stretch your heart and open it further.
Love doesn’t destroy us.
We destroy love, by putting all of our human constraints upon it.
So it’s not that love has the greatest irony.
It’s that we do.
Isn’t it ironic that the very thing we want the most
is the very thing we sometimes eventually destroy.
